Gangos is part of the secret encampment of the Bozjan Resistance and is also the location for some of the questlines that appertain to the Resistance Weapon.
Final Fantasy 14 (FFXIV) is a popular persistent world, massively multiplayer, online role-playing game that allows players to progress by levelling up their skills and completing quests.
Gangos is a zone within the Shadowbringers expansion pack for FFXIV. The Bozjan Resistance uses it as the location of their hidden headquarters. It is also the location of various quests and can be accessed easily.
Why do people play FFXIV?
While Final Fantasy 14 (FFXIV) did not blow fans out of the water when it first launched in 2010, it has been reworked to include several expansion packs namely, Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker.
The new version of this game, called A Realm Reborn, is also a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Naoki Yoshida, who works for Square Enix. The game takes place in a persistent world that allows players to interact with various facets of the world and with each other while playing.
There is room for customisation, as players can design their own characters and choose which servers they want to play on.
FFXIV: Gangos
Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers is the third expansion pack introduced to the FFXIV series which was launched in 2019. Gangos was introduced as part of this expansion since it is located on the south-eastern shores of Ilsabard.
Gangos is known for being part of the secret encampment, Bozjan Resistance, and is located on a tropical beach. The Bozjan Resistance uses glamours to conceal this location from the Garlean Empire.
Players often want to travel to the Bozjan Resistance’s southern front, which includes the Gangos zone, to pick up various weapons and gear. This is a good way to level up when you are in classes 71 to 80 and it can really help you progress in the main storyline of the game.
To fully understand the gameplay possibilities and the significance of Gangos in FFXIV, you need to understand how the Bozjan Resistance comes into play, where Gangos factors into quests, and how the Resistance Weapons story factors into this.
What the Bozjan Resistance has to do with Gangos
The Bozjan Resistance is an insurgence group that opposes the Garlean Empire in Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers. This group endeavours to reclaim Bozja as their own by driving out the IVth Imperial Legion who has seized this area.
The resistance also seeks to revive the Blades of Gunnhildr to increase their resistance against enemy forces and to encourage more people to join the cause. The Blades of Gunnhildr are the guards of the founder of Bozja, Queen Gunnhildr, and this quest requires the re-forging of several legendary weapons that were wielded by these guards years ago.
Gangos is important to the Bozjan Resistance because their headquarters are located in this zone. That is also why this location is hidden by glamours. The glamours ensure that enemy forces cannot easily find and invade the headquarters.
What do the Resistance Weapons have to do with the Bozjan Resistance?
Gangos is also where the majority of the Resistance Weapon quest takes place since it is such an important central location for the Bozjan Resistance.
Resistance Weapons in Shadowbringers can be described as this expansion pack’s equivalent to level 80 Relic Weapons in earlier games. In order to build these resistance weapons, players need to complete the Resistance Weapon quest chains, where you can acquire different weapons for different jobs, and you can upgrade these weapons as you go.
In order to unlock this quest chain, you need to be on level 80 with a Disciple of War or Disciple of Magic. As a prerequisite you also need to complete the Main Scenario Quests: Shadowbringers and The City of Lost Angels quest.
It is important to note that the Resistance Weapon quest happens somewhat parallel to the Save the Queen: Blade of Gunnhildr storyline, which means it is mandatory for you to increase your Resistance Rank in the Bozjan Southern Front and Zadnor while you are building your weapon.
How to get to Gangos
Once you have unlocked Gangos by completing various questlines and side quests, you can get to Gangos again by opening your Map or Teleportation Window and choosing the Doman Enclave, which you can find at the Far East section.
Then you can simply Use the Aetheryte Crystal network to teleport you to Gangos from there.
