OSRS: How to get to Crandor after Dragon Slayer

You can still get to Crandor in OSRS after you have completed the Dragon Slayer I quest by travelling through the Karamja dungeon.

Crandor is a volcanic island in Old School RuneScape (OSRS) and it is the site of the Dragon Slayer I quest as well as a location that gives players the opportunity to increase their mining and combat skills.

After completing the Dragon Slayer I quest, you can still access Crandor by travelling to Karamja and then through the dungeon.

What is Crandor in OSRS?

Crandor is a small island just north of Karamja in Old School RuneScape (OSRS). This island has a volcano at the centre of it, which makes it an ideal location for players to improve their mining skill by mining coal, gold, mithril, and adamantite ores.

There are also several low-level monsters such as King scorpions, Lesser demons, Moss giants, and Skeletons that players can fight to train their combat skills on the island. The island also has a rich history that can be uncovered as you play through the Dragon Slayer quests and other parts of the game.

Crandor was once one of the most important cities in the realm, just as important as Varrock and Falador. It had large markets, a library, and magic school and it even had some of the best ship crafters in the realm.

However, when a Crandorian adventurer entered the Crandor volcano and woke Elvarg, the dragon, the community was disrupted. Elvarg was furious that her sleep had been disturbed and retaliated by destroying much of the island by killing its inhabitants. Elvarg remains active in Crandor.

When you are completing the Dragon Slayer I quest, you can access Crandor throughout the game using Ned’s boat. However, after you have completed the Dragon Slayer I quest where you need to slay Elvarg, it may be difficult to know how you can access this location again.

Fortunately, there is a way to access Crandor once you have completed the Dragon Slayer I quest, so that you can improve your mining and combat skills. This path leads you through the Karamja Dungeon, which you can access by sailing to Musa Point on Karamja, or  by travelling to Brimhaven if you are a member.

How to get to Musa Point or Brimhaven

To get to Musa Point on Karamja, you need to sail or take a charter ship from Port Sarim. When you reach Musa Point, you can run west until you find the Karamja volcano.

Brimhaven is only available to members who can reach it. You can charter a ship from one of the following cities: Catherby, Corsair Cove, Musa Point, Mos Le’Harmless, Port Khazard, Port Phasmatys, Port Sarim, Port Tyras, the Ship Yard, or Prifddinas.

It is important to note, however, that chartering a ship is costly and the cost varies based on where you are sailing to Brimhaven from. You can also access Brimhaven by completing or partially completing a few quests. Once you reach Brimhaven, you can travel east through the gate to get to the volcano on Karamja.

How to get to Crandor through the Karamja dungeon

Once you have reached the Karamja volcano from either Musa Point or Brimhaven, you can travel through the dungeon to reach Crandor.

You first have to travel down the tunnel which is in the Karamja volcano. Once you have travelled down this tunnel, you will be inside the Karamja dungeon. Then, you need to head north until you find a wall that can be opened.

When you open this wall, you will recognise the area, from the Dragon Slayer I quest, as the area where you fought Elvarg. After this, you should continue going north. You will eventually find a hanging rope.

If you climb up this rope, you will end up on the surface of Crandor, where you can mine and fight enemies in Crandor.

What you can expect in the Karamja dungeon

When you take the tunnel down to the Karamja dungeon, you will encounter various enemies along the way, some of which are:

Monster Level Aggressiveness
Skeletons 22, 25 and 45 Aggressive if you are less than half their level.
Giant bats 27 Aggressive if you are less than half their level.
Lesser demon 82
Deadly red spiders 34 Aggressive if you are less than half their level.
