The Date Simulation Modulator is one of three new toys that you will be able to pick up during the 2024 Love is in the Air event.
Love has returned to Azeroth from February 5 to 19, 2024 for the annual Love is in the Air event. And there are a few exciting goodies, including new armor, a new mount, and even a few new toys, up for grabs, this time around.
What is the Date Simulation Modulator?
The Date Simulation Modulator is a fairly unique addition to the World of Warcraft (WoW) arsenal and is one of three new toys added for this year’s special celebration of love, alongside the Exquisite Love Boat and the Eyes For You Only toys.
This toy will allow you to change skybox in the zone that you are in to one of four different presets – namely, Peaceful Day, Romantic Sunset, Fireflies at Midnight, or Stuck in a Rainstorm – for up to two hours.
The Date Simulation Modulator also has a Cooldown time of 2 hours.
How to acquire and use the Date Simulation Modulator
If you want to get your hands on the Date Simulation Modulator, you will have to hand over 100 Love Tokens to Kiera Torres or Lythianne Morningspear, the vendors at the newly-added Gala of Gifts, which can be found right outside Stormwind and Orgrimmar (or through the portals that are scattered all throughout Azeroth).
The reward-system has changed slightly this year, and the only way that you will be able to earn enough Love Tokens to buy the Date Simulation Modulator, is to complete the quests and daily activities
Clicking on your new toy will prompt the modulator to spawn in that zone. When this modulator has spawned, you can speak into it, in order to customize the skybox.
The members of your party or raid will also bear witness to the Date Simulation Modulator’s effects, for as long as it is activated.
